Born and raised in the Comox Valley, Cody's interest in automotive repair began working alongside his uncles at age 12. Cody worked part time at the local Courtenay NAPA store until graduating from Georges P. Vanier Sr. Secondary in 2001. Having completed his Automotive Level 1, 2, 3 as part of his academic program at Vanier, Cody enrolled in and completed the Pre-Apprentice Program at Malaspina College in Nanaimo in 2002.
Cody joined the Andy's Auto Center team in July of 2002, enrolled in the Automotive Technician Apprenticeship Program under the guidance of Andy. Cody's youthful enthusiasm and eagerness to learn have made him a true asset to Andy's Auto Center. After completing an automotive apprenticeship program in 2006, Cody heard the call of the Alberta oil fields and left us for a time to pursue employment performing a variety of maintenance duties on the rigs including diesel engine repair and maintenance.
Cody returned to the Comox Valley and was welcomed back to Andy's Auto in September 2007. Upon his return, Cody expressed a desire to specialize in automotive diagnostics and has since been utilizing our continued education policy to complete a number of automotive diagnostic training programs both on site and at satellite locations. Specialized training in the service and repair of hybrid vehicles is also on Cody's extensive list of qualifications.
